| | For those who care about SPC, it worths the pain to read this blog entry and decipher the message behind:
不歸險路 (CharlesKwok)
The second batch of Form 5 graduates under the DSS, it's no surprise the overall result is better than Class of 2007. But the result is far from satisfactory--it haven't restored the past glory. There should be remedial works in place already, but there is room of improvement for certain.

In response to Charles' comment on SPC's road ahead, I insists that maintaining a relatively liberal atmosphere on campus is the key of SPC's survival in the future. I don't mind repeating myself here (in a more polished version of course):
In my opinion, having a more sophisticated worldview and the access of a wide network across all sectors of the society are cutting edges of graduates from EMI secondary schools with long history and heritage. Dr. K should maintain a relatively liberal atmosphere while improving the overall academic standards. With emerging brand name schools in the NT take the center stage, a sophisticated worldview of our younger brothers is the only strength that could make a difference among others. So we shall maintain a liberal atmosphere in SPC at all cost, for without it, "there is no survival". Let that be realized: the survival of SPC under the threat of emerging secondary schools in grass-root neighbourhood, the survival for all that SPC has stood for". As a die-hard fan of SPC, we shall try hard to expand and maintain a close relationship among alumni (in particular, our young brothers) to join the great cause. So we can "go forward together with our united strength". |
